AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT 16 GB Now Available At The Same Price of $599 US As NVIDIA RTX 4070 12 GB

The AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT 16 GB graphics card continues to get some insane deals at retailers with the latest one bringing its price on par with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.

Just a few days ago, the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card dropped to $610 US which was a retailer-specific price cut. In addition to that, the graphics card also comes bundled with a $60 US game, The Last of Us Part 1, which adds even more value to your purchase. Now, the GPU can be purchased at the same price as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.

The card that has received this promotional price cut is once again the ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 6950 XT which offers a full Navi 21 GPU and 16 GB GDDR6 memory. ASRock's Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 6950 XT offers its award-winning cooling system, striped axial fan, reinforced metal frame, and metal backplate. The graphics card runs relatively quietly at 0db.

Newegg US is offering the graphics card for $629.99 US but using a $30 US-off promo code of "VGAEXCAA552", it comes down to $599 US which is the same price as the MSRP of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB graphics card. This is actually a very nice deal for users who want fast GPUs with lots of memory. The Radeon RX 6950 XT does sit ahead of the RTX 4070 in raster and extra VRAM helps at higher resolutions but the NVIDIA card has the benefits of faster raytracing, DLSS 3 performance, and also features much higher efficiency. The Radeon card sips almost 2x power compared to the RTX 4070 12 GB in games.

Other ASRock cards which have received similar promotional deals include:

AMD has not kept silent about its graphics card line offering higher memory capacities than its rivals and has been relatively affordable. The company posted a whole blog about how "More VRAM Matters" and now has 16 GB cards priced way lower than NVIDIA's 12 GB cards. There are differences between the two cards besides memory such as gaming performance, features & efficiency but if users want more VRAM, then AMD has the cheaper options right now. If you're looking for a cheap card with 16 GB VRAM, then Intel's Arc A770 is also an option to consider at $349 US.
