ZETWERK Manufacturing Businesses has secured a 1.5GW solar module order from India’s power generation company National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).

The 1.5GW order represents a fourfold increase over its previous order from NTPC Renewables in 2023.

Under the contract, ZETWERK will be responsible for manufacturing and delivering ALMM-compliant, 'Made in India' solar photovoltaic modules, including mandatory spares, for the 1.2GW Khavda Solar project in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

ZETWERK will deliver this order within seven months, strengthening ZETWERK's standing as a reliable partner in India's renewable energy sector.

ZETWERK co-founder Srinath Ramakkrushnan said: “We are thrilled to secure this ambitious solar project with NTPC.

“This second order is a testament to our commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable, high-quality solar solutions that contribute to India's energy transition and promote domestic manufacturing.”

ZETWERK's Energy Transition Business is diversified in renewable energy, supported by a team of more than 450 professionals across departments such as procurement, design, operations and tendering.

The company noted that its in-house research and development team is dedicated to ensuring that the quality standards are met.

Unimacts, a wholly owned subsidiary of ZETWERK, with its headquarters in Sloan, Nevada, and facilities across the US and Mexico, is strategically positioned to support the North American market, indicating ZETWERK's global aspirations in the energy sector.

ZETWERK Energy Transition Business head Abhay Adya said: “Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive solar solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

“We are excited to continue our growth in the renewable energy sector and support ambitious renewable energy targets around the world.”
