Looking to spice up your coffee routine? Why not invest in one of the best high-end coffee makers? These gourmet devices come in many different varieties to suit your style, budget and taste. For coffee aficionados, a luxury coffee maker can elevate your at-home coffee drinking experience. Plus, it can save you money and time, by cutting down on those coffee shop trips.

Drinking coffee doesn't just give you an energy boost. According to a new study, drinking three cups of coffee a day could curb obesity and prevent diabetes. The research shows the greatest benefit appears among those with a genetic predisposition to metabolize caffeine much slower than others, leaving more of the substance in their blood. Prior research has linked drinking three to five cups of coffee a day with lower risks of Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

There's more! Italian researchers report that people who drink two or three cups of coffee per day have lower blood pressure than those who drink less. So, your daily cup of coffee not only satisfies your cravings and wakes you up for the day, but it is also helping your body in many ways!

If you’re ready to commit to a splurge appliance, consider buying a high-end coffee maker. Not sure which one to choose? Luckily, StudyFinds loves a good cup of coffee and is here to assist. We’ve highlighted the top five brands from ten expert websites to bring you the best high-end coffee makers. As always, we’d like to see your own recommendations in the comments below!

Reviewers not only love the look of the Moccamaster, but also how it performs. "This 10-cup capacity machine uniquely uses a copper core element to keep the brewing temperature within the optimum range of 195 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit, and it can quickly make an entire carafe in just about five minutes. You can also adjust the strength of your java via the brew basket control, which allows you to manage how long the coffee is steeped," according to The Spruce Eats.

It also features a hotplate that stays on for 40 minutes. "This hand-built European coffee maker is beautifully simple to use, we found during testing, thanks to its two-switch operation. The filter holder is even removable so you can pop it on the scales to weigh out the correct quantity of coffee, and the carafe pours cleanly without dripping," adds TechRadar.

As New York Magazine points out, "it's pricey, but the experts who use it say that it's worth the premium if you’re interested in investing in the best equipment out there."

Delish crowns De’Longhi's Dinamica Plus ‘Best Splurge’, adding "in addition to offering 19 bars of pressure and an intuitive touchscreen control panel, you can choose from 16 drink options and three frothing settings with enough time to choose your preference before the magical brewing experience begins."

This high-end coffee maker also features a top-notch automatic milk system. "Not only is the LatteCrema system super quiet, it also offers three consistency levels. Oh, and the Dinamica's dual heating system means there's no waiting time between espresso and milk foam delivery," notes Coffeeness.

However, TechRadar points out, "it's a bulky appliance, which takes up plenty of room on a kitchen countertop, and compared to espresso and single-serve coffee makers, it's expensive, too."

As far as luxury appliances are concerned, consider this offering from Breville to be in the more affordable category. Reviewers highlight this brewer's versatility. "From cold brew and over ice to fast and strong, you have the pick of the selection. Even better, you can customize and save settings for temperature, bloom speed, and flow rate. It's programmable too, so you can set it to start brewing before you wake up, but if you do sleep through the smell of fresh coffee, the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot," suggests Homes & Gardens.

Another special setup feature? "The Precision Brewer comes with a pH testing stick, which you’re instructed to use to test your tap water before it brews (the pH of the water affects the acidity of the final cup of coffee). You’re also asked to soak and then insert a disposable water filter in a designated slot in the reservoir tank, but it needs to be replaced roughly every two months. And then you’ll run a water-only flush cycle. All this said, the brewing process itself was very straightforward," notes Forbes.

Good Housekeeping gives it ‘Best Overall’ accolades, adding the brewer's carafe is "relatively easy to clean as well with a moderately sized opening that you can fit your sponge into (a bottle brush makes it even easier)."

If you want to make barista quality coffee in your kitchen, check out the Jura E8. Rolling Stone points out its, "six-level Aroma G3 grinder that preserves aromas and flavor better than most grinders. Next is a specialized ‘Pulse Extraction Process’ which optimizes extraction time for espressos and ristrettos. The milk frother is also special, producing fine-textured foam for silky smooth lattes, macchiatos and cappuccinos."

"From its sleek design and range of functions, through low volume operation and convenience, to the quality of the espresso and milk foam, the Jura E8 is the full package," suggests Coffeeness.

Forbes adds, "with just the touch of a button, users can brew 17 types of drinks, including macchiatos, cortados and flat whites. Hitting Expert Mode allows you to program the coffee strength, amount and temperature."

Of course, all of these features come with a hefty price tag. So, consider this one a long-term investment.

Rounding out our top five, is this user-friendly programmable coffee maker from Wolf Gourmet. "It has a digital display and an ‘Accu-brew’ setting that uses a built-in scale to weigh the coffee grounds as you add them to the basket so you can make the perfect cup based on the amount of water and strength setting you select," according to Good Housekeeping.

Homes & Gardens also praises the Accu-Brew setting, noting "if you turn up the brew strength or increase the number of cups, the machine will automatically have you add more grounds."

Another feature reviewers spotlight is that "the water reservoir is detachable for easy filling and cleaning, and there's a detachable water filter (in case your tap water is less than desirable)," adds Architectural Digest.

However, it doesn't come with a built-in grinder, so skip this one if that's on your must-have list.
